Are the DS games mucher cheaper in Florida than they are here?

If so, where is the best place to buy them.

They were considerably cheaper when the exchange rate was closer to $2 to £1. Last time I was out there, I bought Professor Layton and the Curious Village about six months before it was released here, and it cost me $29.99. When it was eventually released in the UK, it was £39.99 - so even at $1 to £1, it's still cheaper.

Other console games seemed about the same price as you would pay over here. I think it also depends on what games you are after for the DS (ie new releases/popular games), but I would say they are still cheaper than here though.

I agree - its usually dollar for pound and you can buy them in the same sort of places you can over here: like Walmart, Best Buy etc. I haven't been in a Toys R Us for ages but I would imagine they'd stock lots of games

Note that the games written specifically for the new DSi are region coded so games purchased in the US won't work on UK machines (and the other way round). Earlier DS and DSlite games should be OK though.

I' say best buy and target are the 2 best places. Gamestop is very good but quite pricey.

One main advantage is the range of games is larger, for example there are baseball and basket ball games that do not get released outside of the us and other titles as well that are us specific

Target is just about everywhere hehe there is a nice new one, a super target, on 192 just past congo river.
the only best buy i know of is by the florida mall.

Gamestop are inside most of the malls, and they are also all along 192 in the parades of shops. they are not huge, and are pretty much the equvilent of our game/gamestation

I would shop carefully. Assuming 6% tax and an exchange rate of $1.50 to £1
