Well we have our first broken bone. Took 11 years, but he did it Saturday morning. And I really wish I could tell you that he did in some manly manner, but no I can't.
The boy triped over the..................
Sweeper Cord. Yes, just the cord. Didn't kick the sweeper, entertainment center, wall...nothing. Just tripped over the cord and fell down. And I wasn't home at the time, just him and DH. I was picking up DD from dance and heading back home to pick up the boys and so we could go to DS's baseball game.
Picked the boys up and notice Logan is limping. DH tells me that Logan tripped over the cord and cracked the nail at the base of the nail. Said he got it to stop bleeding and put a couple of band aid's on it. Went to his ball game. He tried to play, but he couldn't put much pressure on his foot because of the toe. Got home from his game, I changed the band aid. Just a little bleeding, no swelling, and just a little bit black and blue.
So we get up Sunday morning and I go change the band aid. The toe is now swollen, black and blue to the 1st knuckle and still bleeding a little. DH takes a look and suggest that maybe he did more than crack the nail. So off Logan and I go to RediMed. Three and half hours later, 1 trip to the hospital for X-rays and yep, the boy chipped the bone in his big toe.
So no baseball or gym for at least two weeks. We have to go to our family DR in 7-10 days and have them re X-ray the toe. So, he is really hoping to only have to sit out the next 2 weeks. But he really did play up the sympathy card yesterday. He wanted a large malt from Zesto's for being a trooper.
