Yup! I cut all my hair off today!!! I had grown it out when I found I was pregnant last year so I could easily throw it back in a ponytail BUT Mattie pulls the heck out of it and I couldn't take it anymore!!! So I chopped it all off. A.J. got home from school, looked at me, asked where my hair was and started balling!! He told me I scared him! Makes me feel real good! LOL I had to show him pictures of our last WDW trip when my hair was short! He loves me again!!

Gotta love the honesty of kids!!

I am so sorry - I hope he understands that you are still you now. Now the true test will be your husband.

By the way, I did the same thing - I grew my hair really long and then chopped it off but it was prior to when my son could tell me how I looked different. My son loves to have me run my hair over his face - maybe A.J. just is thinking how much he will miss Mommy's hair falling over his face when you kiss him.

This happened to me with Jessica a few years ago. I had long hair, about half way down my back. It was summer...I was really hot....hair all gone! She cried and cried!! She said I didn't look like Mommy anymore! Took some time to convince her it would all grow back!

When I got contact lenses last year, my DD8 said "You don't look like Mommy anymore!"

He just informed me that he likes my hair now! LOL I think it was even more of a shock because my hair is very curly and she blew it out almost straight! You know I will not be spending that much time in the morning fighting to get it straight!! Matt (7 months) hasn't noticed of course! He's too busy chewing on EVERYTHING(I had to take him off the heater today! ) his 1st tooth is coming in!!

Glad to know I am still loved!

When I got my shoulder length hair literally chopped off to a "Dharma and Greg first season" style last month, Maddy took one look at me and gasped, "Mommy....somebody CUT YOUR HAIR!!!!" She felt my hair for awhile telling me it was going to be ok

We went to the salon yesterday so my stylist could measure the hair and put it in a ponytal so my DD could see how much hair will be left after it's cut for Locks of Love. That's when she suggested a clippie to help DD with the transition. My hair will be left long enough to make a small pony tail that the clip will attach to. We have also let her look at pictures of hair so she will have some input.

My DD (almost 9) hates CHANGE!! I have had long hair for approximately 16 years now... but getting ready for a change. I'm sure that DD will freak out... but what can I do?............P

From the time we first met my DH had always had a beard, he'd had it for yrs before we met. One day at work he decided enough was enough and got a shave and haircut at lunchtime. He goes back to work and only his brother recognizes him even tho he'd worked with the same crew for yrs! He comes home and it's a good thing I heard his voice before I saw him because I wouldn't have recognized him either! My DS was about 4 at the time and actually hid from the strange man in the living room who was trying to grab him! Took 20 min to convince him it was really his father.
