Hello!

DH and I just decided to head to Disney World in January for DS 3rd birthday. :bday: He LOVES Disney World and this trip is going to be a total surprise - we don't plan on telling him until we get to the airport.

I have some ideas for his big day but I wanted to know what you have done for your child's birthday. I was thinking a character meal with a cake but other than that, I am stuck! We have been to Disney numerous times but this will be our first birthday trip for DS. I would really appreciate some advice! What did your kids LOVE?

Thanks so much in advance! :wave2:

Oh, and by the way, do the hotels still have characters sign a birthday card? I know they did about 15 years ago. Thanks!

A character dining is a great idea! It's so much fun, and you get great attention from the characters. I celebrated my 20th b-day at CRT and I LOVED it!! I got a certificate from the hostess and all the princesses signed it (I have it framed!). I got a little birthday cupcake with a candle, and the hostess and my table mates sang "happy birthday"! I don't know if he'd want that. But Chef Mickey's, LTT, and CP are so much fun! Also, get a birthday button from Guest Relations at each park you visit. They let everyone know it's your b-day, and you could get great attention. There are
buttons at EPCOT, AK, and DTD (MK and MGM share the same button). Anything you do, have lots of fun!
