DS 13 and teen club?

When it comes to meeting new people or trying new things my ds 13 is rather shy. Once he gets to know people he's fine.My question is, how can I convince him to try the teen club? I don't mind if he hangs around with dh and myself. I just thought he might have more fun with kids his own age.

He should at least go the 1st night because that's when everyone seems to check it out and he may meet people then!
I went with my DD13 during the day and a counselor was there to show her around and told her to be sure and come back that night!
When he first get's on board, have him go an see it and pick up up a navigator and that will tell him the times of what all is going on that evening!

My self and my daughter 13 just returned from our August cruise and like you I was quite worried because she too is very shy.

But there were no problems at all, she made friends very easily and really enjoyed the teen club. If you need to know anything in particular please feel free to PM me.

garfield my son was 16 when we went and very shy when it came to meeting people. We went to the teen hang out "the stack" and i introduced myself and my son to the counselors....later that evening he asked to go back without me and ever since then....i saw him at dinner time only....(upon demand) lol. He will probably do just fine....
