I am looking for some creative ways to dry clothes and towels when you cannot tie washline to the trees. I've thought of tying it to the tent and sceen tent, but the polls are not that big or strong to hold a line. Tying it to the van won't work because we will be using it to drive around.
Any suggestions other than using a dryer???

How about buying one of those wooden clothes racks made for drying clothes that fold up flat when not being used.

I forgot about the old folding clothes rack. Thanks!

IKEA makes one that I love, if you have an IKEA nearby check it out. It holds a lot more than the standard wooden ones and folds to about the same size.

We use one of those wooden, fold up, racks. DW used it in college - it might be an antique

Not sure if you can see it in our campsite photo, but there are towels on the Mickey Lamppost, on the bikes....

My husband took some plastic "pipe" and attatched it to the back of our RV, He made it so it can fold up when we travel. There is clothes line between the pipes which we use to hang clothes on.

I tied clothesline to the tree my last trip there and no one said anything.

I tied one to 2 trees at the fort last year!! But in general some campgrounds do not allow any clothes lines

Tie the line to two poles between the tent and room with a knot at the top of each pole and then run the line in a straight line to the ground with a stake with everything in a straight line and you're done. Just takes a little planning.

notice the ad at the top of page for clothes drying rack. that is just too funny,,,

Thanks for all the great ideas.
We will be camping in a state park this summer and cannot tie anything to the trees unlike at Disney.
I did find a small folding clothes rack yesterday at a garage sale for .50 cents. :woohoo:

Whew! :upsidedow I thought you were talking about the Fort. I was about to start searching my Gazette. I think I'll get us one of those folding clothes racks. We camp at a couple of places that don't allow the clotheslines but we just hang our towels inside the screenhouse, it's fairly sturdy but it is a nuisance.

I hope this works. I am so not good at posting pictures yet. This is my folding rack for drying. Got it IKEA before I started college. I tried to crop about 10 times on photobucket but it wouldn't save.

Now I can't get it to show up. I'll keep trying. I use this thing all the time, we don't have a laundry line here either so this is always up in my garage or outside.

You have to hit the DONE button before hitting the SAVE button....I had a hell of a time figuring it out too.
