We certainly knew we had arrived in Nassau as the room started to shake and vibrate with the noise of the engines - it was loud!!!!!

We got up and headed to Parrot Cay for breakfast. We had decided to go ashore for an hour or so and then head back onto the boat as we had heard it can be extremely quiet onboard with most people ashore.

I certainly wouldn’t walk about here on my own or if it wasn’t busy. I felt a little intimidated. If I was asked once I was asked 100 times if I wanted my hair braided or if we wanted a taxi. We just politely refused and to be fair they seemed to be ok with this. We were offered drugs a few times and at dinner, another guy said he was offered drugs more than 20 times!!!!!!

We noticed that the Captain Morgans Spiced Rum was cheaper here than on the boat, so we grabbed a litre bottle for $10.95!!!!! The perfume also seemed reasonable. Same price as in the malls but without the tax, so I treated myself to Armani Diamonds and Jean Paul Gautier.

It was getting hot, so we headed back to the ship and straight to the Adult Pool. It was quiet and we grabbed a great spot right by the pool. We spent the afternoon listening to live band, drinking cocktails, swimming and sunbathing. Really enjoyed it even though we normally like to be up and about. I decided to treat myself and booked into the Spa for a massage but changed my mind and had reflexology (foot /leg massage). It was amazing - the only thing that put me off is I got a hard sell at the end trying to get me to buy over $300 of products!!!!!!!!! I had to say NO several times and in the end only got away after saying I would come back after getting the OK from DH!!!!!!!

The show tonight was a family show with Heath Hyche and as we had seen the adult version the night before, we decided to go and shower and chill before dinner. They was also the added bonus of my future new husband making an appearance at 7:15.

It was Pirates IN the Caribbean night tonight but DH wouldn’t dress up BOOOO!!! Showered and dressed, I headed to deck 4 to meet my new hubbie. We were third in line and then he appeared - Mr Jack Sparrow mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm . When you check in, you get a business card with your room number on and when it was my turn, I asked him to take the card and I would see him later. He said I was very naughty (in the accent) swoon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dinner was OK - everyone seemed to be having lots of fun with their servers and table mates - apart from us!!!!! Have to say dinner was SLOW and by the time we had finished, we couldn’t get near to see the Pirate Show. We watched Mickey fly into the rescue and then watched the fireworks.

Had a walk round the ship and then went to bed.

Claire Sparrow! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Shame about your server being so boring.

Thanks for your report! Sounds like spending the day on the ship at Nassau was a great idea! Having read your report about the hard sell at the Spa, I'm having second thoughts about the manicure I've booked on board - that sort of thing really puts me off!!

the very last thing you want on holiday is the hard sell! glad you were able to ecsape.:thumbsup2

we felt the same about Nassau, just went to Hard Rock Cafe to add to our collection of glasses and then back to the ship. Our service was very slow and we missed shows etc. Otherwise of course a great time

We're not keen on Nassau either, we just get off the ship to take some photos in port

Weren't you naughty with Capt Jack ? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Thanks for posting. I wouldn't fancy Nassau at all after reading that or the hard sell at the end of the reflexology session. This is why I love reading trip reports because you pick up snippets of knowledge that you just would not be aware of before.

I am glad you enjoyed the rest of your day. I loved the towel photo and had visions of all the new room employees having to go to towel folding sessions.:)
