The last day has finally arrived and I am doing this report live from MCO airport.
Apologies for the lack of reports over the last few days but there is a good reason - illness finally caught up with me and I have spent all day Friday/this morning in the Celebration Hospital!!!
I started to feel unwell in the early hours of Thursday morning and didnt in fact get up until 2pm on Thursday afternoon. As it was the Pirate & Princess Party at Magic Kingdom I got ready and we stopped for a quick bite to eat before we headed to Magic Kingdom.
Magic Kingdom seemed empty, I have not seen it so empty before even for the Party.
I wasnt feeling great but didnt want tp spoil it for DH. We did Stitch and then Buzz - Hooray I won again (but dont know if DH lets me win so I dont go in a mood lol).
We then headed over to Adventureland to try and find out where Capt Jack was going to be.
We popped into the toontown tent and met Donalt, Chip n Dale and Daisy. We were the last ones in and the CM arranged for us to have a photo with all 4 together!
We found out and then went back to Main St to stake a spot for Wishes.
Cried again!!!!
After Wishes it was time for the Party to start and we queued for Capt Jack.
We only waited about 10mins and I told him I had come to take him away from all this and take him back to England with me!! He said he couldnt leave all the treasure!!!! I said are you sure to which he asked "how much treasure is in England?" and I told him there was lots and lots of treasure in my room!!!!!!! He tried so had not to laugh!!!
Really was struggling now and we just had a walk around collected beads and treasure and getting some photos with some characters.
Cinderellas Stepsisters and Stepmother were out for photos and they were really funny!
We watched the parade near Splashmountain. It was Ok - lots of real horses and poo men as DH calls them (these are CM that follow behind the horses).
Watched the Jack Sparrow Pirate Show and we were stood next to Superbowl Colts manager - I wanted a pic but we didnt want to bother him as he was with his children.
We then headed back to Main St for the Firework Show with a detour to the toilets as I was feeling really sick. DH said we were going back straight after the fireworks as he could see I was not well.
Nothing happened in the toilet (lol) but as we got to main St, we walked passed a popcorn stand and that sweet smell must have got to me as I just threw up all over Main St - How embarrassing!!!!
The fireworks started which we sort of saw and then it was off to the hotel.
I just got straight in bed but wasnt right and DH took me to the Doctors at 8am.
The doctor ran some tests, charged us $250 and sent us straight to the Hospital.
So I have been on a drip for 24 hours and told I have a Bladder/Kidney infection but I am OK to fly.
Prescription for 3 lots of tablets was $60!!!!
This is the 1st time I have ever looked forward to going home - I usually cry all friday night and Saturday.
We are off to catch the monorail to our gate.
Once home, we will try and post some pics.
