I woke up this morning and could breath for the first time!!! Apart from a sniff and a bad cough, I felt well again - hooray!!!
Put my new Spongebob Tshirt on and we went to catch the shuttle bus - we didnt drive today so we could both have a drink.
The park was busier than normal but put this down to the fact that it was Saturday and the first Mardi Gras! We had never done a Mardi Gras before, so we had decided to stay - more later.
On entering the park, most people decided to go straight on to Shrek, so we turned right and walked straight on Terminator - DH loves this but as I have never seen the movies, I can take it or leave it - dont get me wrong it is clever but I prefer most of the other 3d shows to this one.
We then watched a bit of magic in the magic/joke shop and then listened to a band playing outside Mels Drive In,
Went to see ET awwwwwww and watched Scooby and Woody do their thing in the 80s show (lasted around 1 min!)
Timed it right for the Animal show - those dogs are cute and how I would so like to cuddle a monkey!
Skipped Back to the Future - I can do any roller coaster I come across but that ride knocks me sick. I couldnt wait to get to Men in Black although DH dreds these type of rides in case he wins and I go in a mood. Dont know if DH let me win but i WON - HOORAY
Watched Fear Factor and there was proper vomitting going on here - uurrggh.
Jaws was down for maintenance and we were getting hungary so we walked over to Finnegans. I was hoping my favourite bar tender was here as he makes the best Long Island Iced Teas but he wasnt - BOOOO.
Hot scotch eggs and LIIT later we went on the Mummy several times as it was walk on!!! Headed over to Shrek to meet Donkey - I love this bit - he really interacts with you - he asked me if I had cold feet and I said I dodnt but he said you have blue feet ( i had my blue crocs on!!). After pics I gave him a kiss and we went and rode Shrek and Jimmy Neutron.
When we came out of Jimmy, we had pics with Spongebob and heard a band playing outside. It was the band warming up ready for Mardi Gras. We sat on a bench and watched and got talking to a family from the US - Susan and her daughter Mandy. We ended up with them all night and had a scream.
The parade for mardi Gras was fun and the floats seemed really nice - I wish I had paid more attention to them but was too busy collecting beads!!! I got 23 beads in all - not bad for first time.
Back in the room now just about drying and thawing out - MGM Studios tomorrow,
