Dropping out of Goofy 2012...help!

Hi everyone,

So due to a very shifty, very late work schedule, I know I have to dip out of the Goofy 2012. It's a bummer, but I'm not too concerned, because I'll actually get to run another marathon I want to run in March and check off another state (although I love, love, love going down to Disney).

Here's the thing: I already got credit for the flight and banked my DVC pts for the hotel, but is there any way that I could transfer my bib or get it to someone? Not so much for the entry fee, I know I've probably lost that, but I know the Goofy is popular and I'd love to make sure someone else has the chance to run it.

Anyone with past experience dropping out of a Disney race??

Contact runDisney the first thing in the morning. If this were previous year's you would be sol. However, they have started allowing deferrals as long as the request comes early enough.

I think for the deferral you have to sign up for the following year... Beats losing a few if you think next year is in the works. It's worth the $30 hedge...

And totally unrelated....bummer that you banked your DVC points. Bet you could have rented out that reservation in a snap (Like to me since I signed up late to the race and now availability isn't there.
