Of course you realize that if you did get someone at CRO/WDTC to do this, you dropped one of your free days so you didn't save any money. You are still paying for four days.
I swear the CRO/DTC should get on the same page. Whenever I call and then call back I get 10 different answers to the same question. I'm guessing the are not using drill down helpdesk s/w or this wouldn't be the case. They should be able to plug in a ? and then depending on the guests response drill down to the correct response, most helpdesks have this sort of thing and it sure would save a lot of headaches and long distance calls if Disney standardized the two companies.
CRO and WDTC are on the same page on this. They should both give you the same answer to this: it can't be done. That's because they can't do it. They have no way of knowing or verifying what the resorts can do. It's not in their job description or on their computer screens. All they can suggest to you is to book separate room only reservations for the nights you don't want the UPH's. That's the only way they know of getting around it.
