Dropping a day at end of trip

We have BC booked at rack rate, I know you can't drop a day off the end if it's on a promotion ( if the promo isn't available.) But what if you are paying rack rate? BC no longer has any availability, so if I'll lose the whole reservation it isn't worth it to me. Thanks!

you can’t do it online as I tried. Not sure if you call if they would help differently.

You will need to call WDW or your TA and ask if you cannot modify online. There is no guarantee they will drop the day. If the first CM cannot do it, ask to speak with someone in guest services and see if they will modify it for you.

If it’s a room only reservation and at least five days before the reservation starts, they should be able to help with that if you call.

I recently was able to call and drop a day off of both a RO and a package (two rooms, same dates) with both having the summer discount. I was unsuccessful online, but when I called, I was put on hold while the CM reached out to another area to get some type of override.

We had room only reservations on a promotional rate through Costco, and I was able to drop the last day on 7/3. Since we drove down, the kids were concerned about traffic, so we decided to leave a day early. It took some doing, but I was able to drop the last day and i was refunded the the amount of the rooms.
