Dropping 1 Day from Waitlist -- Do I lose my place in line?

Hi all,

If I call MS tomorrow to drop 1 day from my waitlist, do I lose my place in line?

If so, I'll just cancel and do the waitlist again online. Would love to hear a quick answer so I know whether to get up early tomorrow.

I think it would be considered a new request so it would drop you to the back of the line.

You have to cancel the entire waitlist and start over at the end of the line.

Why not leave the waitlist then call to cancel one night if it is fulfilled? Assuming you have the 30-day cancel in effect.

Or place a second wait list now for the new dates keeping the old in place then canceling the old one if you match on the new or dropping a day and canceling the new one if you match on the old. There's the holding account stipulation of course.
