The meal plan costs around $11 for kids. The snack is probably worth around $3. That leaves $8 for a CS and a TS meal. Keep in mind a character buffet costs almost $15 with tax and tip. It's next to impossible to lose money on a kids meal plan even if you have to pay for a couple of extra items out of pocket.

There are numerous posts from adults who say the dining plan provides too much food. Share adult meals with your kids.

Just remember the old saying: "It's easier to catch flies with honey.". I feel the people that enter a restaurant with an attitude problem concerning the changes to the kids menus will be less likely to have the CM assist them with any other options. The more I'm reading about this, I feel really bad for the restaurant staff that are having to deal with disgruntled guests over something they really don't have any control over. Just go and have a good time. Don't sweat the small stuff -- you're at Disney World!!!

I agree with what you guys are saying...once we are there we will have a great time and will put it behind us. However, Disney does need to hear their customer's feedback, especially customers that spend $7000/year or more on vacationing there.

The biggest issue I have is not the cost of the plan, it is the limit they are placing on menu items for the kids due to the cost. As as example, when we go to the China pavilion (or Mexico, Canada, etc) I would like the kids to be able to eat what they want even if it is much smaller portions of adult meals. Then maybe supplement that with more traditional items.

The idea of kids being confied to a menu that they don't like and the fact that we all are paying money for them to eat well on vacation is what really is at issue.

Again, I'm sure some people are over the top with this when they get there. I simply want to voice my concern here and with customer relations before leaving...hopefully if enough folks do they will realize that variety on vacation for the kids is very important.
