Could this be caused by the possible threat of war? Do they think they aren't going to get any travelers?

That would be a good guess. With all they hype on the news it has scared a lot of people.
 
I read that United ticket sales dropped 40% these past few days. I would guess all airlines have seen big drops in sales.

LoL! United dropped their prices 40%?!?! And I still can't afford them! ;)
 

My speculation is that Song Air, a subsidiary of Delta, is starting to sell tickets on March 31 for flights beginning April 15, They will have 144 flights daily serving the North East corridor and Fla. vacation spots, including MCO. They tout themselves as a low cost airline. That will have to affect the market, at least in our neck of the woods. Couldn't come at a better time for me.

Well, I just checked our flights with USAirways...I paid $216.50...it's now $339.50!!:eek: Glad I booked when I did!
 
Just checked our AC fare-paid $425 now $884 each
