Drizzt Do"Urden

I don't imagine tons of folks here will know who this character is, but for those who do, and like him, don't you think that his exploits, if well done, might make one of the greatest fantasy movie's of all time?

Personally, I think he's a far better charater than Frodo or Bilbo or Gandalf.

I know exactly who your talking about and yes I do. He's one of my favorite characters of all time.

My friends and I talk about this all the time. We get into huge arguements about who would play Drizzt. The biggest ones come from who would play Zaknafien though.

He's a character from a fantasy series of books. He is an elf... but a "dark elf"... known as Drow. Drow are an evil matriarchal society where males are subservient to the females, and frequently tortured or killed by females. The males kill each other. The Drow hate Humans, as Humans live aboveground in the sunlight, and they were forced to live below the surface.

Drizz't, is the exception to the rule. He has a good heart and goes to live among the humans, which is difficcult do to because of prejudice. He has to prove his worth over and over. Also, he is an extremely talented killer with swords, daggers....

The creator is R. A. Salvatore and there are probably at least a dozen books with him as the main character.

Personally I am not a fan of Salvatore and have always thought that Drizzit was far to over-rated. Purely from an RPG standpoint, he broke just about every rule in the book.

And yes, he broke every rule. So what? His story is fantastic.
