We are driving down from MI Oct. 19 can anyone tell me of any construction on 65 to 24 to 75. I hope we have a smooth drive.

May I suggest a different route? We have been driving to Florida for more then 15 years every Spring Break. Up until our last trip we have used the route you have listed and endured the horror of driving through Atlanta. A recent post on RV.net suggested using I-65 all the way to Montgomery, AL then I-85 east to US-231 then south to I-10. This route is only 100 miles more then the I-75 way and has far less traffic. US-231 is a four lane 65 mph road passing by only two cities. I drive a 38' motor home with a trailer in tow and found this route far more relaxing then the torture of Atlanta, no matter what time or day you drive through. One other addition I used was getting off I-10 at US-19, taking that south to Chiefland and ALT US-27 to I-75. Again, all four lane roads at 65 mph and no major cities. BTW, do you know about using the 429 Toll road, off the Florida Turnpike, into the west side of WDW, to avoid I-4 ?

What are the odds? You aren't Uncle Larry, are you? (Wives uncle who happens to be going down with us)

We are leaving from Michigan (Brighton Area) to head down on the very same day. I keep going back and forth on taking 75 down vs. going east in Ohio to I-77. Guess that I'll just role the dice when I pull out of the driveway.

We leave from MI on US23, just a little North of you and then take I75 all the way down.
Cinci and Atlanta are probably the 2 worst stretches of the trip. My strategy for Atlanta is to stay in the middle and go with the flow of traffic. Obviously rush hour is a little worse but its also a good idea to avoid the 2AM last call time. A lot depends on your tolerance for traffic and your level of anxiety driving an RV.
If traffic is a problem you may also want to think about driving at night. The traffic is lighter and you can stop and rest in the AM.
Typically we leave around 6 AM and drive all the way to Perry GA (just South of Macon, mm135) we usually arrive around 10 or 11 and just connect what we need. The next Am we get up around 8 and head to WDW, usually arriving around 3 with a quick stop at Walmart on the way in. We have done this trip with the RV about 6 times now and without the RV at least a dozen more.
On the way back we stop in Cleveland TN (the halfway point for us) and just plug in, as soon as everyone is up in the AM we head for home.
Since my truck has a relatively small (26 gal) fuel tank everyone gets to use the facilities on a regular basis, this makes Disneymom happy.

Let me know if you have any specific questions

We did the I-77 route once and found it to be about 80-100 miles longer and no better traffic wise.

Thanks everyone for your help. Husband doesn't like the Alabama route says he would rather try and time when we hit Atlanta.
