Ok, I know with everything else going on in the world this is a non-issue, however I drove a long distance over this past weekend and was shocked at how many DRIVERS had their left feet hanging out windows. How in the world is this either safe or comfortable? I'm not talking about passengers here, who I really don't care about, these were drivers. Good Grief. Every time I get on the road I see something to make me never want to drive again!

it's part of the yoga craze.

seriously, i've never seen anything like that. :earseek:

Wait until a big bug smacks their foot. :teeth:

They probably just painted their toenails and were air drying them! :D

I guess you could be thankful you don't live in England where we drive manual (stick shifts?). Now that would be even more of a worry!!

I used to be able to drive w/ my foot propped up on my dash (car was an automatic), but I'm not that flexible anymore - LOL

i use to do this when i was in high school and thought it was really cool until a big bug hit my ankle and left a welt the size of a golfball. After that i quite doing it!! It wasn't worth the pain!!

I have seen this many times before too. I have never been able to understand it either. What if another car was coming at you, you wouldn't have enough time to move your foot!!!!

Hey pam I am right there with you. I did this all the time in high school. I thought it was cool too...at the time it was!;) I never got hit by anything..but it got tricky when you were wearing a skirt!

I saw someone doing that today and though to myself...there is no way that can be safe!

I agree with you though...I see things on the road every day that makes me really not want to drive anymore....I will never forget driving on I-4 to work at WDW and seeing this guy doing the most insane balancing act:

The Newspaper strewn across his steering wheel.
Coffee in one hand
An electric razor (shaving none the less) in the other hand
steering the car with his knees....

:earseek:

I freaked out...what a idiot......and a multitasker to boot.

I can't imagine trying to drive with a foot out the window!

Cell phones are bad enough. I've almost been hit about 3 times by people on their cells. It would realy make me nervous to see a cell phone in one hand and a foot out the window!
:earseek:

Hillbeans, I think you saw me:eek: I just came from dance class and was having an episode of tendinitis AND I twisted my ankle at the end of class. I wanted to keep my foot elevated until I got home. I don't have a stick shift, so whether my left foot was up or down, I only use my right foot for control of the pedals. Sorry, didn't mean to offend:D
