Driving to parks?

We're thinking of driving this year for the first time  This would be our second trip this year, and we really need to cut some costs.

We're still planning on staying onsite (ASMu) and my question is, does it make sense to drive to the parks, or should we use the resort buses? The only reason I would drive would be to save time -we've used the buses on all previous trips and my only complaint was the time it took to go just a few miles!

Also, one day I'm thinking of doing breakfast at Chef Mickey's - can we park at the CR for breakfast and then take the monorail to MK. Can we leave our car in the CR parking lot all day? It seems like they would discourage that...:confused3

You cannot leave your car in a resort all day, other than the one in which you are staying. We rent a car and enjoy driving to the parks. It's nice at the end of a long day to not have to wait for a bus as we watch the bus we wanted just pull away as we walk up to the bus stop. The signs are good so we never get lost and we have the freedom to come and go as we want, when we want - yes, we have control issues :lmao:. Just my two cents.

Yeah, I didn't think they'd let you park there all day - everyone would do that! I just read that there's no real parking area at MK - you have to park at the TTC and ride the Monorail or Ferry over? I would think this would be a pain at park closing - maybe we'll just do the bus on MK day?
