Can anyone tell me how easy/hard this is once in France? I spend a lot of time on the M25. I notice part of the journey goes past Charles de Gaulle Airport. Are there any areas of the drive similar to the M25 or do the French have better roads with less congestion?

We will also be travelling at night and was wondering if Disneyland Paris is signposted?

Many Thanks

You`ll probably get a better answer from Cyrano as hes the resident driving to DLP expert but we drove in 06 and found that most of it is very straight forward, the only tricky bit was around the CDG but even then it wasn`t too bad just had to be aware of where we were going !
Its mostly straight motorway style driving -long and boring but there is the bit around the CDG where there is a bit of section that you have to do a few lane changes -if we can do it anyone can and seeing as we are booked to go back in March driving it can`t be that bad!!
Have you satnav or are you using maps?I remember getting a route from Via michelin website to get my route which was perfect -i think you have to put in something like Ranch david crockett to find it though
Hope that helps

No pressure then  ;)

I'd agree with Liz driving on toll roads in France is definitely easier than M25 driving.
Paul, CDG is probably the most trickiest bit. But driving at night with less traffic should mean you have more time to react to lane changes :)

in my experience, four road trips to DLRP and a daily M25 traveller, the roads are better in france (the toll roads and any rate), there is a lot less congestion ( The only traffic we have hit is at the tolls and that is normally only a few cars deep) and the drivers on the road are more patient and polite. every one moves out of the slow lane at a junction to let joining traffic merge better and nobody tailgates.
the other thing i have noticed is that when it is snowing the roads never seem to be as effected as they are in kent. i don't know whether this is because france grit their roads better or france has drier snow or that kent just gets it really bad every time.
i've probably jinxed myself now for our next visit:headache:

I have driven to DLRP several times and to me its very straight forward, traffic seems to flow smoothly. It does get a little confusing at the Airport but if you come off at the airport by mistake it is very easy to drive through & rejoin the motorway.

Thanks, I have sat nav but it only covers the northern part of France. Not as far down as Paris and I really didn't want to stump up the extra £80+ for European maps when we will only use it the once, so it will be maps for now. Thanks for the link to the Michelin maps site. I have printed them and Autoroute directions. I have also looked at the satellite photos at the junction by CDG airport.
