We are driving to wdw, we usually go to columba sc first day, but want to shorten the drive a little. Does anyone have any suggestions for a nice clean motel somewhere around Charlotte N.C.

We have stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Rock Hill just past Charlotte. Decent place, clean and comfortable. It was several years ago so not sure if it has maintained it's level of cleanliness.

When we're in the area on our way to/from Disney, we stop at:

Best Western Yadkin Valley Inn & Suites

1713 NC Highway 67, Jonesville, NC, 28642, US

It's a little north of Charlotte, but I'd recommend it to anyone. They also have a free breakfast.

We stay at the Hampton Inn in Little Rock, just off I77 it's on Taber Drive. Great, clean and safe area. Lots of restaurants and shops in the area in case you need or forgot something. You also get a full breakfast here and the staff is fantastic. this gets you about 8 or so hours from Disney, so you will be there for Dinner, we had Kona planned for our first night, great way to end a long couple travel days.

Nice, Kona. This is great I have my trip tik from CAA and am putting all these in along the way.

Drury Inn, Charlotte Northlake.

Here's why.

It seems like every midrange hotel gives you a free breakfast. Drury's is very good, but that's just the beginning. You also get a free (light) supper, free pop, free booze (yes, you read that right: three free drinks); free popcorn, free calls to Canada...need I go on?
