Driving to Disney World is Fun!

For tips I say pack plenty of food and stuff to keep yourself busy.

And if you can, go to sleep. That can make time go bye faster :)

And there's alot of sights to see on your drive. So it's alot more interesting than flying, when all you see is the sky and the clouds.

lol thanks i have a lot of brothers and sisters so its hard to sleep...or do anything for that fact, normaly we would drive all through the night which is killer but were stopping over night this time so it should be pretty fun

I like driving to WDW (: From North Carolina it's about a 9 hour drive. I sleep, eat, and watch movies (;

we just did the same drive, and while it can be boring, there is a lot to see in 2200 kms.

bring some books, your ipod, and just relax and let the time go by.

if you sit and sdtew or count the minutes it will take forever!

My family and I like to play lots of car games to pass the time. We play the "box car" game...if you see a Scion xB and say "BOX CAR!" you get 2 points. If you see a Honda Element, it's worth 1. I also like the rainbow car game...everyone in the car works together to find cars that are the colors of the rainbow in order.

thanx, iv got another question umm does anyone get carsick? 0; i get it pretty bad somtimes so i cant really read books or write or anything thats why its so boring! but i say when we get there its worth it... tips anyone?? ( :

We drive about 18 hours every year to Disney. We usually stop at night but occasionally we'll drive through the night. I also get carsick sometimes. I don't get it so bad that i throw up but if i read for more than like 15 minutes i get nauseous. although i have ralized that i can read when im on the highway because it's normally smoother and not very twisty turny. The main things I do to occupy my time on the drive is listen to my iPOD and play on my gameboy or the games on my iPOD touch. I also play 20 questions with my parents sometimes!

ya me and my family play games to somtimes. last time we drove to disney, we had to sleep in the van so me and my sister were in the back seat being REALLLLY hyper and it was like 10:30, so my dad yelled at us and we started to cool down and try to get to sleep. but sleeping in a van is not the easiest thing. my sister kindave laid on her side on a pillow and i used her as my pillow (if anyones thinking about doing that, dont. its not to comfortable). i couldent get to sleep that entire night cas it was sooo hot! not the best time of my life, thats why i perfer to fly.

Drove across country with my dad once, non stop.
It was pretty much 5 days straight in the car. That was fun. :headache:

I suggest a book on tape, or CD now I guess. XD
They really make the time go by a lot faster.

Well because I live in England, when we go to WDW we hire a car.
The drive to Disney from the hotel is about 15-20 minutes.

I only live an 45 minutes to an hour depending on traffic from Disney.
I listen to music and the dis podcast.

I'm driving down in March. I live in New Jersey, so it's about a 17 hour drive, but we stay in a hotel overnight in Georgia. It's a very long ride, and I can't even imagine a 24 hour drive!

Bring lots of books, movies, music, and movies!! And sleep a lot! lol
Have fun!

Thanks u guys. i didnet think there were that many disneys!

o and the 24 hours drive gets better, my older brother isent coming so wen we drive right through on the way back im going to have to stay up with both my parents at night. but they get to have a rest in the back seat well the other is driving at night so i most likely wont .
so ill be SUPER tired

The drive..........OMG it is so boring. But once you get there it was worth the drive!!! You need 2 bring a ipod or phone it helps a little 2 not be bored! Also a portable DVD player!! Those rock you can watch ur fav dvd's on the way including Disney one's were it shows all the rides and parks! I'm goin on the long drive agian in a week n 3 days goin 2 be so boring but worth it! :goodvibes

When I lived in Toronto, we drove to Disney once.
Granted, I was five at the time, but I remember enjoying it. We stopped at all the major landmarks and it was lots of fun. Bring a lot of entertainment and just enjoy the trip, you'll have a fabulous time!
Then again, I love driving :goodvibes My mum and I are driving across Canada next summer for University Tours.

They should make a big Disney park in Canada!

I'm leaving today to drive from Mass. It is a 24 hour drive for us too.

I don't think I'll be too bored. Mostly because I have a research paper to read and do a report on, 2 documents to review for a software project, an hour and 1/2 lecture that I downloaded and need to watch for class, and the materials for a test I have to take to study.

Then on top of that we have the fun stuff, between my husband and I we have the kindle, a psp, ds, ipod, zune, and our laptop.

We should be able to manage without too much boredom.
