We have driven from Chicago to Fl enough times for me to not be so freaked, but I get so nervous...it's a spaghetti bowl to me,and highly stressful! Is it just me? Does anyone have a suggestion for a better route from Chicago to Orlando than 57-24-75? I don't take 65 thru Indy die to the trucks/traffic.

Don't know about other routes but if you have to drive though Nashville, there are some options. If you don't like driving through the middle of town, you could get off on 440 and circle around. Or you can exit on Briley Parkway, circle town and get back on 24 to the south of downtown Nashville. Briley is a divided highway - 4 lanes most of the way, but wider near the Opryland Hotel. Only the last short section is a surface street with a few traffic lights. Other than that short stretch it just like being on the interstate. The part to the north of town doesn't have a lot of traffic and you don't have all those splits to deal with like on the interstate. If you stick to the Interstate, my only advice would be stay in the middle lanes so you don't find yourself having to change multiple lanes when the splits come. Good luck!
