We'll be camping at Ft. Wilderness next month and are having a small get together at our camper. One family is staying off-site and will be driving over to Ft. Wilderness. Will they be able to park somewhere?

Thanks so much!

Jennifer

Sure they just park in the over flow lot and take the bus or you can pick them up! Have Fun.

Well, the official rule is only one vehicle per campsite. So, if you have a vehicle at your site, you could park it in the parking lot up at the Reception Outpost, and then your guests could park at your site.

Or, your guests could park at the Reception Outpost, and ride the bus back to your site.

Or, you can break the official rule, like many people do, since it is no longer enforced, and your guests can squeeze their car in somewhere at your site. It is unlikely that anyone will say anything to you about this.

When your guests arrive at the guard shack, they will need to show a photo ID, and tell the guard that they are here to visit a registered guest. The guard will probably wave them on through without further question, and they will then have access to the Fort, including the ability to drive to your site.

Thanks!

I think the best thing will be for us to pick them up from the overflow lot. They're not from the US and totally unfamiliar with Ft. Wilderness. Trying to keep things as simple (and as legal) as possible!

Right now I'm thinking we'll pick up our other set of visitors at DHS. Anyone know where the pick-up point is there? I've asked on the theme parks and transportation boards and can't get a clear answer. I know that we in the car will be able to find them, just not how to tell them where to meet us at DHS.

I know that there are guest drop-offs at each of the parks.

I have been to them all.

I searched to see if I could find a good thread that gave the location of each.

But, I couldn't find one either.

I may be mistaken, but I believe the DHS drop-off is located where the taxis pick up and drop off.

If you look at this photo, the green star is on the entrance gates, the purple star is in the handicapped parking area (the resort bus stops encircle this area), and the red star is in the area where I believe you would be allowed to pick up and drop off guests:

Thanks TCD!

Looks like we're going to have to wing it for DHS.
