Driving NH to Mass

We have an appointment on Monday at the cancer center (vet clinic) in Waltham, MA. The appointment is at 9am and I live 1 hour from Concord. How much time should I allow to travel? I'm unsure because of the morning commute. I'm taking 93 to 95 then exit 37B. Mapquest says approximately 2 hours 14 minutes, but if there is a heavy morning commute I'm unsure of how early I should leave. Does this make sense or did I just confuse myself, lol.

You should add an extra 45 minutes or so for Concord-south. The morning rush will pretty much be over by that time, unless it's a rough commute...even then, things are generally smooth sailing that late in the morning.

Thanks, I was thinking of leaving at 6:15am and then we'd have time to bring my dog on potty breaks too. And a coffee break, going to need that!
