Hey all! So we are getting ready for our Disneyland trip in oct. We have the first 3 nights booked at the Howard Johnson but are looking at renting a house for the remaining 4 days so we aren't stuck in a one room hotel with our 2 and 5 year old kids. We will have to drive into Disney a couple of the days. Just looking for tips, what's parking like? Is it easier to use transit? We will be renting a mini van for the week so are able to drive.

When we stay further away off site we avoid the Mickey and Friends parking structure and instead use the Toy Store parking lot about a mile down Harbor Blvd. You still have to pay for parking, but a complimentary shuttle is provided that drops you off on the Harbor Blvd side of the resort, the same entrance that you'll be walking in from staying at the HoJo. Rarely do we have to wait long for a bus and they usually are not that crowded. We've done this on many trips and only on a handful have we ever head to stand or wait long for an available bus.

This is another lot down Disney Way that we'v used a few times, but that one is inconsistent with it's availability and fills fast.
