Driving in Ontario this weekend

Threats of protests...Via Rail cancelling trains...the long weekend.

It's going to be a challenge out there this weekend. We're heading to Ottawa for a wedding on Saturday but aren't leaving til Saturday, early. But for the reat who might be on the roads today... best of luck and

My son will be on the road today after work, travelling between Toronto and Kingston. He will be taking extra precautions, such as filling up his gas tank, taking extra water and food, activating his cell phone etc to deal with the threatened blockade on the 401, highway 2 and Via Rail lines. I really feel that we are all CANADIANS and the laws should not be applied according to your gender, educational background or race. I have real concerns about emergency vehicles and services being hampered by blockade delays and not being allowed access to accidents scenes and everyone else who requires their services especially on a holiday weekend. This may be controversial, but as you can read between the lines, I am not in favour of this kind of radical protest. These type of protests do not generate support for land rights or any other causes! Of course, this is only my own humble opinion! Good Luck and Safe Trip to anyone else travelling this weekend!
