Heads up if you're heading through Ridgeland, SC on I-95 (around mile marker 18). This area has been a speed trap for many years with the cops hiding in the wooded median. They have now set up an rv that has a radar, and cameras to capture your car, license plate and face. When we drove through there last week, the rv was under an overpass. It seems this is a popular spot, but it can be moved. It's best to stay close to the speed limit in that area and there are signs posted as you enter the area warning of photo assisted speed detection. I've heard you can get away with going up to 83 mph, but we weren't going to test it! Speed limit is 70 mph.
