:moped: Just got back from a long drive to Disney from WI and I would highly recommend filling up before you enter FL . The prices in GA were about $1.85 - 1.96/gal vs. Florida which will charge you about $2.30-2.40/gal. The cheapest gas in Fl was actually on the Disney grounds - go figure??? :scratchin

Regular gas is around the $2.00-$2.10 mark here in the Orlando area. Unless you are filling up around a tourist area prices have been dropping.

The fill-ups I am referring to are just over the GA/FL boarder. We unfortunately needed to fill up and decided to wait until we got into FL. :sad2: Bad move! Every station off the interstate was at least $2.25/gal and kept getting higher as we went further south. If you need gas on the interstate - fill that tank to the max in GA!!
A few stations in Orlando were better, but the cheapest was still Hess on Disney grounds at $2.02. Lake Buena Vista area comes in around $2.30.

Very useful information for me as we are :moped: driving down as well (next week :cheer2: ). Thanks!!!

The Hess stations here on property have dropped to $2.01... yay! :)

On a more general note,

its amazing here in Michigan how much gas has been fluxuating. One day its $2.40 and the next its $1.95! Its crazy :confused3

As of Friday, the Hess station off of I4 at Fairbanks Ave was 1.99. I would imagine that if the on property Hess stations have dropped in price , that this one has too!

What I don't understand is WHY the price fluxuates on a daily basis. The station has already bought and paid for the gas...

I know, I think its all about working the stats. They figure a certain number of people buy gas everyday. The days that the most people buy, are probibly the days they will raise the prices.

We always take I-75. We've consistently found the lowest prices in GA at Exit 5. I believe it's a Speedway station. It's just east of I-75 on the north side of the road.
