Driving from Upstate NY around 12/21?

Is anyone driving?...I really want to go and wanted to know time and stops that are good(I think I might do 90-84-81 and then flexible) and if anyone might be intrested in a caravan( or at least driving withing in a 1/2 hour radius). Has anyone ever done this? Does anyone have a group going?

Wher in NY are you? I am in Mass but 40 minutes south of Albany. We have driven to Florida many times. I have gone through Scranton, Pa on 84 and then 81 and 87 to 287 to 95 South. For us it has always been 2 to 1, half dozen to the other with the exception of going through DC during rush hour. Stresses me right out! When we go 95 we usually stop somewhere in Virginia the first night and then the second night in St Augustine, Fl... but those trips we have then continued to Deland (next to Daytona) to visit family before we took the final leg to South Miami to other family.

If you guys are "commando drivers" you can make it to WDW by dinner to later evening. Takes us 22-24 hours.... hope this helps.....
