Driving from Ontario

Hi everyone! I've been lurking and have absorbed some great information!
The family and I are hopefully going to Disney this year. We will be driving and I was thinking a good place to spot is Charlotte, NC. Can anyone give recommendations for nice, CLEAN, hotels?

There are a couple of hotels just off I-95, just south of Charlotte. We pulled in there... and lots of rooms.

There are tons of hotels all along the way so it shouldn't be hard to find one. The earlier you stop in the evening the better chance you have of getting a nice room. We generally don't stop until between 9-10pm so we get our pick of creepy places. If you stop at the state welcome centre you can get the Roomsavers coupon book which should get you a room for about $45-50 sometimes ever less.

If you are just pulling off the highway and picking a place ask to see the room before you decide. All hotels will allow this. If by chance they don't take that as a sign that you should move along someplace else.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn and Suites/South Park two years ago. It is a much fancier hotel than your usual Hampton. It was about 5 mins off of the motorway in a nice residential area with a great mall nearby. There are lots of little shops and restaurants right outside the hotel door on a pedistrian mall. Plus breakfast is included.
