In 2 weeks we'll be driving from Memphis to WDW and I'm wondering if I can get some opinions on which route to take. The last time I drove it by myself I took I-40 to Nashville, drove over to the Chattanooga area and down to WDW by I-75. I remember thinking how nice it was to have major interstate the entire way. My DH wants to take the southern route through Birmingham, AL. I remember some 2 lane roads and small towns that seemed to slow us down. He's insisting we drive NON-STOP :furious: and I just want to get there as quick as possible. TIA for any input...

I'd love any advice on this as well. We are driving from Chicago to WDW, but on the way back want to spend a day or two in Memphis. I'm also hoping to do the WDW to Memphis in one day!

Have you considered the I55 to Jackson, 49 to Hattiesburg, 98 to Mobile and I10 through Florida route? Don't know how much faster it'd be, but another route to consider.

We just drove from Jackson MS to WDW and went 49 south to hattiesburg, 98 to mobile, 10 to somewhere around Lake City Fl, then 75 down to WDW. Took about 12 hours on the nose. If you came from Memphis thru Jackson add another 3 hours to that.

Just bumping up - any more advice?
