Driving Directions from POFQ to GF

Being the obsessive planner that I am...I have mapquested directions from our resort (POFQ) to the resorts that we will be dining at. The directions look okay -- except the one for the Grand Floridian. They seem to take us off Disney property -- and then enter from the North -- taking about an hour to get there! Now, my directions to the Contemporary, Wilderness Lodge and the Polynesian look normal:

Take Orleans Drive and turn left on Bonnett Creek Parkway

Right on Disney Vacation Club Way

Right on ramp to Epcot Center Drive

Enter ramp to World Drive

(follow to Contemporary -- or make one other turn for either the Polynesian or the Wilderness Lodge).

So...after all that rambling -- what do I need to do to get to the Grand Floridian? Are the above directions accurate for the other resorts mentioned?

That's not the way I would go. I'd take a right out of the resort, drive to the "T" and take a left, toward the MK parking lot and TTC and then follow the signed directions.

What Mapquest has done is get you onto the nearest expressway to take you to the Grand Floridian. You hop onto Epcot Center Drive (which is the EPCOT Expressway) and that leads you to World Drive (which is the Magic Kingdom Expressway north to the Magic Kingdom.) When you get to the MK parking lot toll plaza you tell the attendant you're going to the Grand Floridian so you don't get charged a parking fee. Most cars go straight into the MK parking lot but instead you get onto the road ahead to the far right. You follow that to the first traffic light, and turn left onto Seven Seas Drive. This is the short road that runs between the MK and the MK parking lot. You pass the Transportation & Ticketing Center. At the next intersection you turn right and the Grand Floridian will be just ahead on your right.

PortieOwner is also correct. By turning right onto Bonnet Creek Pkwy (instead of left with the above directions) you follow it until the T-intersection which is Vista Blvd. Turn left and this road ends just past the MK parking lot toll plaza so all you do is turn right until you get to that traffic light described above at Seven Seas Drive, and follow the same as above.

If you miss Seven Seas drive you can stay on that same road, go past the Contemporary Resort and it will circle all the way around the Magic Kingdom such that you eventually get to the Grand Floridian, which would now be on your left because you're coming from the opposite direction.
