We will be renting a car from National at MCO. We are staying at the WL. Will National provide us directions/map, or must we figure this out by ourselves (Mapquest)?

It's REAL simple. Take the south exit out of the airport and literally follow the signs. The south exit will take you to, I believe, 417, from there you'll go to the Osceola Pkwy, get off at exit 3 and head for the MK resorts. Signs all over and hard to get lost!

National does have maps if you ask...

Take north airport exit and follow signs for Semoran Blvd. Cross over 528 (Bee Line Expressway) and left at first light (Frontage Rd). You are now facing west. Follow generally straight bearing to left as needed about a mile to next light. Left here and then immediately another left through median onto cloverleaf for 528 Bee Line west (Without going under anything). You are facing west again and just skipped a toll booth. Stay on 528 to Route I-4 west. Now you are facing southwest. Take the Epcot exit, exit 26 off I-4, now facing west. Next look for and follow signs for Magic Kingdom and you will end up on World Drive facing North when you get to Magic Kingdom's toll booth. Use third booth from right, tell attendant you are going to Wilderness Lodge. Drive on without paying and bear right at next fork, a big one. Right at second lgight (Seven Seas) then left to enter Wilderness Lodge.

Returning to airport via I-4 east, exit right to 528 (Bee Line) east. Get off Bee Line at Exit 9 (Tradesport). Left at bottom of ramp, cross under 528 using middle lane. Inexpensive gas station on left, or take right at second of pair of closely spaced lights onto McCoy Road which becomes Frontage Road. You are facing east again. Payless Car Rental is here. At next light (Semoran Blvd) turn left to get to some car rental lots or turn right to reach airport north entrance. Be careful not to take 528 west from here, that will land you in the toll booth. Cross over 528 and take cloverleaf to get back on 528 east from here to Cape Canaveral or Alamo Car Rental if you wish.

National also has printed directions on cards to specific resorts. I always use the south exit out of the airport to 417 south (aka Florida Greenway). There is little traffic on the Greenway, it's an easy drive.

We always take the South Airport Exit to the Greenway. Then to Osceola Parkway, MK Resorts Exit. This past time we went thru the Crossroads (to have lunch before getting to WDW - due to a flight delay on board the aircraft we were hungry!) Very easy. :) We then entered via a back road that goes behind Ft. Wilderness, skipping the MK Toll Plaza (there is a guard booth back there, though). I can't remember all the road names, though! The back roads really aren't marked real well, it is more of that "have to drive them to figure them out". For traffic control, you can follow signs and it will tell you when and where to turn, but since it is "traffic controlled" they take you a little out of the way.
