Driving departure time

What time is recommended to leave WDW on a Thursday to get to the Port for fairly "up-front" boarding? Last time we took Mears and left the airport about 10-10:30 and were about 150 from the front.

I'm a worrier. I would leave at 930 and want to be there at 1030.

On the other hand, my DW would prefer a more leisurely 10 am departure for a 11 am arrival.

We just got back from the 3-day Wonder (4/29 - 5/2) and we arrived at Port parking at exactly 11:00 am on Thursday. We had a rental car, drove right into the parking lot, no lines, no waiting. We were on the ship by noon, barely a line to board. It was our first cruise and it went so smooth that I'm beginning to think we were an anomaly!
