Hi Everyone!

We are leaving on March 2 to drive to Orlando but have been undecided about which way to go.

We live in the Hamilton area and wonder which route everyone plans on taking this time of year.

We have been watching the weather and wonder if anyone else is still waiting to decide?

We are driving down for the first time and after much debate we decided to go the I75 route. We are taking our time going down - leave around 3pm on Thursday March 8 and don't have to check into OKW until Sunday the 11th. Then we are doing the road warrior one night stop on the way home. We picked the I75 route because we didn't want to have to worry about the weather and becuase the Along I75 book has lot of interesting facts and places to stop. Now we just need to pray for the gas prices to drop again!

Enjoy the trip!

We are only driving as far as Detroit airport on March 1st and flying March 2nd. I have done some research and it is quicker to go the 401 to the 402 towards Sarnia and then cross into Michigan there and then it pops you right on the highway that takes you to the airport and to Florida. I know of many others who drive and they all go through Sarnia - not Windsor.

Were going again and this is 4 years in a row and we decide the day before we leave which direction we head. I live north of Hamilton and if the weather is good we go I77/I79 which is through the mountains. If the weather is bad then we go I75. We drive straight through no overnight stays so going Niagara way does cut about 2-3 hrs off the drive. We have gone both ways. The first time we were nervous driving because it was our first time, so we took I75, now were pros at it we let the weather decide our way down. I like also the change in scenery too.

I just made the trip again down I-75 this last fall and will be going again this may that way. As much as the 77-79-81-95 route is a few hours quicker I-75 just provides much more in the sense of nice rest stops and ease of travel I find. It has allnight shopping available and lots of clean stops and eating along the way. I will trade a few hours for that especially with the kids. Just my two cents.

We go the I75. We have done the trip during March break for many years and I just feel more comfortable doing the I75. We stop over in Knoxville the first night and arrive in Disney late afternoon the next day. We are from St Catharines and we cross over at the Fort Erie bridge. You don't know what you are going to run into going through the mountains at that time of year. We have gone through the mountains in the fall and it is very beautiful.
