I’m not sure where to post this question. Please move it if necessary. Does anyone know if I-10 through panhandle is clear to drive through after the hurricane? We will be driving 11/14 coming I-10 from NOLA.

I live in the Panhandle and yes I-10 through this area is open and clear - it was the next evening after the storm. You will probable see some damage (mostly tress down) and some service areas between mile markers 85 - 136 might be limited if those areas had damage but otherwise you will be fine. BTW - exit 142 usually has the cheapest gas for this area.

Thank you so much! Hope you made out ok.

We were very lucky - I live about 40 miles west of Panama City in Destin and we had hardly any damage. We feel very blessed cause just a small tick to the west and it could have very easily been us. I have friends that live in Lynn Haven and it has been a struggle every day as they try to rebuild their lives.

Off topic - but my daughter is in NOLA doing an internship at the Audubon Zoo with the sea lions. She loves it over there. I was just there visiting right before the hurricane and we had a great time.

Have a great trip!
