Driving 24hrs straight from Toronto to Orlando

You have given me A TON to think about! I am HORRID with directions and will be driving ALONE. With that said- I really don't want to have to drive through small towns in the middle of nowhere..... I'm going to research both 77 and 75 and try and figure things out.

Based on what you have stated, I75 sounds like a better fit. Simple straight forward, lots of services and other drivers on the road during the overnight, there not traffic but enough drivers so you don't feel alone.

Let us know if you have anymore questions. We are happy to help.

When are you going? We will be driving down I75 the last week in August and this time we will be posting our drive via twitter and Facebook. If you are interested in following, our social media links are in the signature.

Love your blog! We've driven a few times from Ottawa and also find it part of the fun of going to Disney

Thanks for taking the time to visit our blog. Glad to hear that you also enjoy the drive. Often others don't like the drive at all. We try to build it into the overall adventure. Which route do you take? I95?

OMG! I know your video! I watched it several times in the past looking for some ideas to make more Disney Magic. This is so AWESOME! Thanks you for making the video. It brings a smile to my face face each time we watch it. I'm going to have to tweet it out for all to see how your family enjoys Disney..... It is so great!

Thanks for following.

Ah thank you so much. My 15 year old mostly edited that with my help. We have been trying to decide what song to use on our next trip - we have several possibilities.

My daughter is now following you on Twitter - I will do it now. Thanks for posting it. We love watching other Disney Videos as well. They all bring a smile to our faces.

Love your picture at the end of your blog. Thanks again for posting.

Hello all,

We are often asked how we do our 24 hours straight drive from Toronto to WDW. so we decided to write a blog post on the subject. This is what has worked for us over 10 round trips so we hope it will help others plan.

Let us know if you share similar experiences and memories. Driving has now become part of the vacation and fun of Disney for us.

great blog!!!! :thumbsup2 I have made the drive a few times myself.:lmao: as an eight year old in the back seat, to a 19 year old going on his honeymoon and turning dw into a Disney addict , to dad driving dd on her first trip at 9 months old to a proud dad of a Disney college program cast member to back to just dw and myself making a few trips per year.
waaaaaaaay to many memories to mention.
from my sister hogging the back seat, sitting in the back of the station wagon backing in the back window to driving home with your knees in the dash board because we bought two huge Minnie and mickeys and could barely get them in the back seat on your honeymoon. :lmao:
driving is one of the best parts of the trip for us both coming and going.
in this modern age of instant satisfaction and have to have it now, its great to see younger, ok, younger then me, enjoying what I have enjoyed with my family for over 40 years. :thumbsup2

We are going in October- and while I75 is almost 2 hours out of my way- I wonder if it's worth it.

@dcvzerfs WOW! Thank you so much for sharing your memories with us. They are truly great ones. We started our blog site as a family project to document our Disney memories and to allow our kids to have a place to also share with others. We hope when they are all grown up, they will look back with great memories of us and our trips to Disney.

Thank you so very much for sharing.

That is a tough question, You will have to weight out the pros and cons. Make a list and see what you come up with.

Great blog! We're leaving from Montreal on July 17th evening and are planning on crossing the border close to Gananoque to take the I81 then I77 to Charlotte,NC and finally I95. I95 only was another option but we don't want to drive thru NYC and Washington, DC. For now we think of stopping for the night at Charlotte,NC but DH would like to drive thru. We'll see how we feel when we're on the road...

Love this! We drive also from Long Island. Friends and family think we are crazy but as a family of 6 we can't afford to fly! My 4 kids,12 and under are seasoned road warriors! We don't have a DVD player even. It's a great way to talk about our plans for the parks and on the way back we get to relive them!

Love the blog!

Thanks for taking the time to share. No DVD player... WOW! You guys are real road warriors. Not sure if we can do it without a DVD player. It would be very challenging.

Maybe when the kids get a bit older.

Yes! To the DVDs. You mentioned video games. We bring an xbox. our honda pilot has the av inputs and power outlet necessary to hook it up to the built in monitor. I'm sure your odyssey could as well!

They practically have all the comforts of home in the backseat.

Yes! Our kids have it pretty good. I recall when I was young, there was no movies or video games. Just us to entertain each other. Ahhhh... Memories.

oh come on....... we had those bingo I spy boards. :lmao:

I LOVED those things! I still do!

Anyone else LOVE trip tiks as a kid? I'd stare at them and do all sorts of math calculations on them ALL day long!

Great blog! I wish my DH was as into Disney as I am:(it looks like fun to be excited together! But he is a good sport and goes along with my plans. We live in the Chattanooga area and I now feel bad for ever whining about driving to Orlando. You guys are rock stars!
