For those that have driven to Disney from Ontario .... have you ever stopped anywhere on the way back?
We are going for 2 weeks but only spending one at WDW. Just wondering if anyone has ever been to Hilton Head or to Myrtle Beach .... or is there anywhere else fun yet relaxing?

In 1996 we stayed in Fort Wilderness for a week then on our way home we stopped in Myrtle Beach for a week and camped. We loved it and said we were going to do it again but havent yet. maybe someday.

I just got back from a week in Myrtle Beach. We have been about 6 times but not since 2002. Well, the minute we turned onto Ocean Blvd I realized why we hadn't been back. To put it in the words of a friend...'it's nothing more than Niagara Falls with a beach'.


I would recommend Hilton Head over MB.

It used to be cool when the warthogs would fly over but that doesnt happen anymore.

Hilton Head is a great place to spend a week, especially at Disney's Hilton Head resort !

We've stopped at Pigeon Forge, Tennessee once. They have a TON of shopping there eg. Outlet Malls etc....and lots of restaurants and hotels to choose from.....oh yeah, and the scenery (Smokie Mountains) aren't bad to look at either!
