Posted over at Budget Board then saw this board... driving to WDW 8/05. Looking for suggestions for hotel overnight in VA, probably Fredricksburg. Saw BW Fredricksburg and wanted hear some feedback. Parents had their car broken into during one overnight stay from FL to MA and wanted suggestions for clean, decent and secure hotel.

Thanks!

My parents live in Fredericksburg. There are several hotels at the Massaponax exit, #126 (1 exit south of Rt 3 Central Park area that is very busy). We've stayed in a couple of them. It's a very safe area. There's at least 2 suite hotels on the west side of 95 and a couple of other motels on the east side. They are off of RT 1 (Jefferson Davis Hwy.) less than 1 mile from I-95. There's a Days Inn, Comfort Inn, Howard Johnson's, Econo Lodge, Ramada. There are also several restaurants and gas stations. Also, RT 3 (Central Park shopping and Spotsylvania Mall) has a couple of hotels and tons of restaurants. Just about anything you can think of. Hope this helps. These areas are safe, but just like anywhere else, don't leave anything of value or visible in your car.
