drive to port

Hi,

We are driving to port this friday for our cruise. We are driving from mississippi. Originally the plan was to drive on I-10 to Lake City and spend the night there. Then get up and drive on 75 through orlando and to port. Well most websites are saying its quicker to drive I-10 to 95 and go along FL's east coast. Does that sound quicker to you the. Going on the 95 way is 15 miles longer but says its faster. What do you guys think?

I would say yes because it is all true interstate driving. If you take I-75 you will have to get on I-4 and cut through the heart of Orlando to get to either 417 (the Greenway) or 528 (the beeline) which could be time consuming with the construction that is going on and the locally heavy Orlando traffic.

Thanks liberty belle. I thought it probably would quicker since we would be avoding orlando. Anyone else done this drive before?
