We are doing our first Disney trip with our 3 & 4 year old daughters in 4 weeks!!! I'm nervous about making the most of our two days there! We are only staying at AOA for one night and doing MK for two days before going to Sanibel island.

We are renting a car and I'm not sure what the best option for getting to and from MK from AOA??! Should we drive and park? If so, where? Or, should we take the bus! Open to any suggestions!

For the MK, its often better to just take the bus from your resort. Driving to the MK involves parking in the main parking lot and then doing the tram to the Monorail/boat in order to actually get to the MK. The bus will drop you off near the MK security check point.

Definitely take the bus to MK! The Disney Transit System is a lot more convenient and much easier to use. Have fun on your trip! :D

I agree, if it were any of the other parks I would say it wouldn't make a difference, but MK can be a bit of a pain with the parking and all. Plus there is just something magical about hearing the MK music start playing on the bus as you get close.

We were almost late for rope drop due to driving and I was parked on the first row. When we came back the next day, we used to bus and made it in much less time from AKL.

We have driven to magic kingdom a lot and it's a real pain. You have to get there super early just to get a good parking spot. And then u have to deal with the monorail/boat transport. I would definitely take the bus it drops u right off by where u need to be. Specially with 2 little kids. Walking the long walk from the parking lost to monorail/boat and then walking a lot in the park it's very stressful. You are tired before u even start lol

By all means take the bus! It's easier an faster all the way around. That said Disney still suggests you allow 1 hour to get to where you are going.

I agree take the bus it drops you off right at the gate where as driving will add at least another 15 minutes to your trip by the time you park walk to the end of the aisle you parked in. Wait for a tram to take you to the monorail then walk up to the monorail. Ride the monorail to the park.
