Drive or take bus to parks

For years we always rented a car and drove everywhere, except MK. Then, we took a last minute budget trip, and didn't get a car. That was 9 years ago, and we haven't gotten a car since. We enjoy stepping on a nice cool bus vs. a steamy, blistering hot car, even if it means waiting a few minutes for it to arrive. Works for us....

Not been on here for a few years and can't wait to go back next month

Previously we hired a car but this time we're staying on I-Drive. How much are the buses to Disney parks and do they just take you to Epcot and you have to move around from there? Our hotel offers transport which is $12 return pp but there's 6 of us so it's costly I think??

Thanks in advance x

One of my favorite parts about staying at a resort is having the bus option. Even whenever we have to wait, we just take that time to plan out our next fun Disney adventure! It is so nice not to have to think about where we were going and all that good stuff. Best of luck to you!

I would literally rather swim across bay lake with my entire family on my back than take the ferry or monorail to the ticket and transportation center during peak "closing" hours ;) For MK, it is always faster and less of a headache to take the bus if you are a resort guest. For the 3 other parks, it's actually faster to drive on your own. We always choose the bus because it's air conditioned and less work on our part.

Pardon my TTC hyperboles. Hope this helps! :)

Yiu might want to post this thread on Transportation Board also. Those folks have a wealth of information to help you. Danny
Thanks Danny!
I usually just take buses when at WDW. Yes, I've had a car while there, but with the wacky people driving down there, present company excluded, I just get too stressed out. I seldom recommend renting a car while there. BUT....you'll have your car with you, so that's a whole different scenario. I would take buses when you have time to do so. But, if you're running late, or you have an early ADR someplace, I would drive. It's nice to have the option. You may find that you don't have any issues with the buses. On the other hand, you may not like it and decide to drive yourself...nice to have a choice!!!
