Trying to decide if we should drive or fly to New York (actually staying in Weehawken NJ).
DH and I are debating on what to do.
Driving is going to be 13-14+ hours so the better part of a day with two kids in the car = arriving and being completely wiped out. Can't see that we will need the car after arrival. Will have to pay to park the car at the hotel. Would still be about $450 cheaper than flying unless we rent a car......DH wants to rent if we drive.....which brings it to just about $200 cheaper than flying.
Flying will get us there in about 4 & 1/2 hours with a connecting flight in Chicago.....that's if there are no delays, etc. A little more $$$$ but cuts our travel time in 1/2. Flying isn't my favorite thing in the world but thinking the drive home will be a rough and stressful one after several busy days in the city.
I'm thinking if we fly we should be able to get a shuttle from the airport to the hotel and wouldn't need to rent a car there.
Thinking I need to have several big weekend yard sales (clean out my basement) and earn the extra $$$ for the flight.
What do you all think?

. Is the starting point of the drive Weehawken, NJ? If so, it shouldn't take 13+ hours to get to NYC. Weehawken is right by the Lincoln Tunnel. Am I missing something?
