Hi,
I'm trying to make a pound cake, and I'm not sure what the last part of the direction means:

"Add batter to pan, level it and drip it flat on the counter to knock out the air bubbles. "

I get the level it part, but what does "drip it flat" mean? Any ideas?

Thanks!

I'm thinkin' drip should be drop too; Sounds like they just want you to pick up the pan and give it a good bang while keeping the contents even. :)

I too think it should read "drop it flat" to get the air bubbles out. I just drop it on the counter 2 or 3 times and pop it in the oven. Lisa

Well the "I" and the "O" are right next to each other on a keyboard. Looks like a typo!
