My wife and I plan on doing the same thing in May 2005 (if it works out). Just for the heck of it, I threw in some information on beers available at EPCOT. Keep in mind, some of this information may be out of date. Here are some various opinions of mostly DIS members:
Best Drink Lounges
-- Poly's Tambu Lounge has the best drinks on property. Nine of us where there for drinks and dinner at 'Ohana on 11/15, and everyone loved their drinks. I can personally recommend the Back Scratcher and the Malibu McCaw. I think I had a Rum Runner there last year. They make them nice and strong. Fabulous place to relax with drinks. (Source - The DIS)
-- "Dawa Bar" has two native African bottled beers (amoung a bunch of the usual) and maybe (could be wrong) a African draft. Also, there are a few specialty drinks listed on their chalk board (can't remember them) ... and the bloody marys are made w/ a special mashed garlic spicey mix!!
-- The Outer Rim (the Contemporary Resort): Cool place with great views
-- Crews Cup Lounge at the YC also a cozy spot, with a decent microbrew selection
-- Let me add one more suggestion. Since the last boat leaves for WL from the CR at 10 pm, it's
easiest for you to begin at Artist Point. Arrive early. Take the boat from the Contemporary, drink and nibble, and then head back to the Contemporary; then you can work your around the monorail line with ease.
-- Mizner's (GF): Terrible beer selection.
Beers Around the World: From microbrewery creations at Disney's BoardWalk to Guinness Stout served in a British pub at Epcot, there are more than 80 varieties of beer served at Walt Disney
World Resort. Many beers are themed to the resort where they're offered: Blackened Voodoo Lager at Disney's Port Orleans Resort; Elk Mountain at Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort; Monorail ale
at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Newest watering holes include Big River Grille & Brewing Works and the ESPN Club at Disney's BoardWalk. Big River offers five different micro-brewed beers: Wowzers Wheat, Tilt, Pale Rocket Red Ale and two seasonal beers (they change quarterly) like Indian Pale Ale and a brown ale with chocolate. ESPN Club has 10 brews on the menu: Bud
Light, Samuel Adams, Leinenkugel Red, Miller on tap, Amstel Light, Bass Ale, Beck's, Corona, Foster's Lager and Heineken. For a quick, comprehensive world tour, Epcot World Showcase
restaurants have beers from each country. Try Dos Equis and Bohemian Tecate in Mexico. Italy's Peroni beer. Kirin in Japan, Tsingtao in China. Beck's in Germany. United Kingdom offers Guinness Stout, Tenant's Lager, Harp Lager and Bass Ale. There's Ringnes beer in Norway and Fischer beer in France.
