Hi all!

Forgive me for asking a silly question but dh and I are not in agreement on the interpretation of the deluxe dining plan rules when it comes to beverages.

DVC provided the following information:

Entitlements (per person per night):

3 Meals (meals can be used for table or quick service at same locations as Disney Dining Plan)

One adult Table Service entitlement includes juice (breakfast), appetizer (lunch & dinner), entree, dessert (lunch & dinner), and non-alcoholic beverage OR one full buffet.

One Quick Service entitlement includes juice (breakfast), entree, dessert (lunch & dinner) and one single-serving non-alcoholic beverage OR combo meal plus one dessert (lunch & dinner) and one single-serving non-alcoholic beverage.

2 Snacks

1 Resort refillable drink mug per person, per reservation (only eligible for refills at Quick Service locations in your Disney Resort hotel).

I interpret this to mean that you may have unlimited sodas at table service meals and 1 single soda at counter service meals.

dh interprets this to mean that you may have 1 single soda at both table service and counter service meals and we would need to pay out of pocket for refills at table service restaurants.

Does anyone know if the dining plan allows for free refills on sodas at table service meals?

Thanks for your help!

TS meals will include unlimited soft drinks. Specialty drinks such as smoothies or shakes are usually non-refillable, except in certain places.

Yes, you can get a refill on sodas at TS meals. At WCC, we got refills on our shakes as well!

Yes, unlimited refills on the sodas, coffee, or tea at table service places.

At the places that allow shakes and smoothies as the dining plan beverage, no refills on the those.

At many resort counter service places, beverages are from a self-serve fountain (they give you the cup when you pay with dining plan credits) You can refill that cup as wanted during your counter service meal.

At non-resort counter service (like in the parks) the majority are not self-serve and you will be expected to pay for refills.

and of course, if you're on the Deluxe or the Quick SErvice plans, you get a resort refillable travel mug...those are unlimited refills at your resort during your stay (good for soda fountain drinks, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, powerade-type drinks on the soda fountain, lemonade on the soda fountain.) Not good in the parks, of course.
