Drinks Before Hoop De Doo at Crockett's Tavern?

Hey guys,

Going with a group next month to HDD and was looking for a place for pre-show cocktails near Pioneer Hall. Has anyone ever been to Crockett's? Is it nice to run in there for a drink or two before the show?

We get drinks from the to go window and sit on the porch in rockers and enjoy the view before HDD every year. They also have a picnic table I beleive on the porch. I’ve never been inside but hope this helps some.

The liquor selection isn't as vast as other bars, but the atmosphere is convincingly country comfortable.

We went there last week- they have a LONG list of moonshine drinks!!! They're really good and have quite a kick! Only the bar at Homecomin' has a comparative selection of moonshine on property. In addition, they are one of the few, if only, bars on property to have Michelob Ultra on draft, and I think the other beer on draft is Sweetwater 420. Enjoy!!!

Another good pre-Hoop drink place is Geyser Point at Wilderness Lodge. They have Spacedust IPA on draft, which has a high alcohol content (8% I believe). You can then take the boat from the Lodge to the Fort for the show!

CT is actually inside Trail's End so it can be loud and busy at times. It is basically just the bar. I prefer the TO GO drink window and relaxing on the porch or walking down to the tables on the beach.
