Drinks around the world- Epcot

We had never tried it before, but last trip were without kids, so decided to give it a go. I didn't find it terribly difficult...but we did allot the ENTIRE park day in the world showcase, and we ate lots of things in between.

Piping in here, as a self-proclaimed Drinking Around the World champion... This is my "usual" list:

Canada: La Fin du Monde or Moosehead
UK: Boddington's pint
France: Buy the "Wine Tour" where you get two 2oz pours of wine in France, Germany, and Italy
Morocco: La Casa beer
Japan: glass of sake
USA: a local Florida beer (usually Jai Alai from Cigar City Brewing)
Italy: the two glasses from the Wine Tour
Germany: Altmunster Oktoberfest + 2 glasses from the Wine Tour
China: Tipsy Ducks in Love or Plum Wine
Norway: Carlsberg pint + the Viking challenge
Mexico: an extra añejo tequila flight

The key (as others have said) is to pace yourself (multiple trips around the showcase), drink water, and eat!

Have fun!

Just a few more suggestions:
The blood orange margarita in Mexico is to die for.
We like the Shofferhoeffer Grapefruit Wheat in Germany
Grand Manier Slush in France

I am a lightweight when it comes to alcohol, so there's no way I could drink my way around the world. However, I do love the Grand Marnier slush in France and the English Rose in UK (this last one sneaks up on you - it's so pretty and pink and sweet-tasting, and you don't realize how much of it is gin until you stand up and realize you can't feel your feet).

LOL, for my trip this fall for Food and Wine, I fully plan on getting a mimosa at Les Halles for breakfast. In real life, I have a drink maybe twice a month, but if I'm on vacation and not driving anywhere, why not?

I'll be very interested at F&W to see if there really are THAT many drunkards reeling about, or if it's a case of pearl-clutching teetotalers gasping at the sight of alcohol! in a theme park!
We had Mimosas at Tusker house as part of our kids free drinking around the "world" day. Had a drink in each park. So much fun!

I drank around the world once in my 20's but I don't remember it. I don't even know how I made it back to the resort. Honestly, I awoke the next morning and found myself sleeping on the floor of my hotel room. So yes...I was trashed. My sister was trashed. I have no drink advice to offer, I just wish you well!

Here's my plan for this August (open to any suggestions!). Planning to split just about everything with DH to save space and money!

France: Les Halles for Mimosa and Pastry (open before 11 so seemed logical to start)
UK: Rose and Crown Pub for Guinness and Scotch Egg
Mexico: Cava de Tequila for Margaritas with Chips and Guac
Norway: Kringla Bakeri for Glacier Shot and Pastry
China: Joy of Tea for Cocktail, Beer or Plum Wine with Pork Buns or Egg Rolls
Germany: Weinkeller for Wine Tasting and Cheese Plate
Italy Enoteca: Castello for Wine Tasting
Italy: Tutto Gusto for Wine/Beer and Snack (yes, I know this is two stops in Italy. Wine.)
America: Block & Hans for Beer
Japan: Kabuki Café for Beer or plum wine or sake kakigori with edamame
Morocco: Tangierine Café for Beer and Baklava
France: Aux Vins de France for Wine Tasting (yes, I know this is two stops in France. Wine.)
Canada: I have an 8:55pm reservation at Le Cellier for Beer and Beer Cheese Soup

Good idea to do the hard stuff first (Guinness, tequila and Aquavit). By the time you've enjoyed those drinks, you'll be able to better assess your subsequent drink choices. There's also some really nice ciders around now too. Might be a nice change of pace from the beer/wine.

I consider myself a polished drinker but I could not drink around the world. I would probably have to cheat by sharing with someone. Make sure you have it as an all day thing so you aren't rushing and take your time. I recommend the Grand Mariner Orange Slush from France!

We just did this in January. We started off with lunch and a margarita at 12:30 and finished up with dinner at Rose and Crown at 8 pm. It was the first time I'd tried drinking around the world, and although I managed to complete the "challenge," there are some things I'll be doing differently next time.

The most important thing is to pace yourself! We did it in about 7 hours and I was well past buzzed by the time we hit France and my traveling companion was trashed, so we had to stop and sober up a little before continuing on. I'll also say, next time I'll start when World Showcase opens so I don't feel so rushed.

Another tip is to be careful about the alcohol content in each drink you choose. I stuck with mixed drinks except for a few beers (Germany and Canada), but I absolutely couldn't have done it if we were doing shots or something like that.

The sangria in Mexico is also worth killing for.

Start in Mexico at La Cava with a margarita (passionfruit is my favorite)
Norway - beer
China - I always go for the Peach Snap! at the Joy of Tea cart
Germany - beer
Italy - Bellinis
USA - beer
Japan - sake mists at the Kaki Gori cart
Morocco - lots of tasty slushy sorts of things at the pastry and coffee bar in the back of Tangierine cafe. Spice Road Table has some nice looking drinks, too.
France - Grand Marnier slush
UK - beer
Canada - beer

Thanks for the suggestions. My friend always talks about the "slushy drink in France" she has on each trip to Epcot, so now I know what it's officially called!

We do beers instead of other options (though I usually also get a Dole Whip with Rum along the way). DH and I share, usually we get a beer flight whenever that's an option, otherwise we get one beer at the pavilion and share it. And eat something at least every other pavilion. We usually sit for a while at one of the tables outside of the American Adventure for a good rest in the middle.

Start hydrated and in the lateish afternoon when its cooler, and nosh as you go. Have a blast - I can't recommend limoncello in Italy and a Washington Apple in the UK and higher.

I consider myself an experienced Drink Around the World'er (4 attempts, 3 successes), and the No. 1 piece of advice I can give to anyone attempting it is to pace yourself. Allot at least an entire afternoon to it, drink a bottle of water about every other stop, and never, ever, ever get sucked into doing sake bombs with random college girls in Japan, despite how amazing it sounds when suggested.

Excellent idea - maybe the U.S. pavilion will have some when we are there.

Rose and Crown Pub also does a very nice Cider and Black (cider with a shot of black current juice) I usually get this when drinking around the world as my usual Guinness is a little bit to heavy.

The sangria in Mexico is also worth killing for.

Where do you get this in the Mexico pavilion? I usually just do a tequila shot, as the margaritas in La Cava, although delicious, can be a bit sweet when drinking around the world.

Best tip, as others have said, stay hydrated! On that note I also suggest using the restroom whenever you pass one, just in case!

Agree with PPs that there is no way I can actually drink in every country in one day. My DH and I break it up into 3 days and only focus on a few countries each day. There are also a few countries where we don't drink anything because none of the drinks are all that appealing to us and we don't want to drink just for the sake of drinking - I would be passed out in a topiary by mid day if we did that.

Make sure you drink a lot of water in between the alcohol and TAKE YOUR TIME!!! I think this is the biggest mistake people make at Epcot. Everything at WDW tends to be "hurry, hurry, HURRY!" and I think people don't slow down enough with the alcohol to even have time to figure out how it is affecting them and by the time they realize they have had a lot of alcohol in a very short time it is too late. Many people also don't eat anything while drinking around the world. We always make sure that we eat when we get something to drink - even just something very small and we SIT down when we are drinking so we can relax, we are in no rush.

Definitely make a day of it. We usually eat lunch and then start at La Cava when it opens (noonish) and go until Illuminations. Get a good meal in beforehand, drink lots of water, and take your time. I've done it four times so far without much trouble.
