Is it safe to drink water from the hotel rooms???

After spending so much on drinks last year I am considering taking something with me, bottle of squash or something to put in their sports bottles..

Have any of you ever done this to save some money?

Definately!! After 20 +yrs of holidaying in france and turning my nose up at my mum who always insisted on drinking tap water, I have now decided that drinking tap water in france is perfectly fine and am not going to drop dead from it!! :rotfl:
For the last 4 yrs of taking my family camping each year, we haven't bought bottled water (other than to use the bottles on trips out) and myself and children have never noticed any ill effects from it and tastes absolutley fine. It is served in restaurants now (not disney ones tho i shouldn't imagine) too, so I can't see a problem with it!

When we went to disney, we did take a bottle of squash and so we could use it in the hotel room and to take in their drinks bottles to the park - will def do again with the drinks prices/euro there!

I don't drink from there but DH does (and so does everyone else I know lol).

What we do is when we arrive at the station, we pop in to that little shop in there and buy 2 big bottles of water. We leave one in the hotel room and carry one with us. We fill the bottles up when we have breakfast (there's a water 'machine' or tap in the restaurant - well, they do/did at Sequoia anyway. I'm hoping for the same at HNY). Then there are water fountains around the park, so we fill up then as well if necessary.

I never drink tap water esp not when we go abroad so we just end up buying 2-3 bottles of water at the train station and everyone is happy.

I bet when people visit the UK they buy bottled water too! lol

Never done us any harm, their water seems just as good as ours

I have a really sensitive stomach!!!!!

And didn't even consider not drinking the tap water from the SL. Had a glass or two every ngiht before bed and was absolutely fine.

Will do the same at DLH too. I'm pretty sure the water fountain water, water cooler water in SL restaurants and tap water are all the exact same!

We refilled bottles using the water fountains in the park too. Still alive and kicking so tap water must be fine. Also about 20 Euros better off!

Looking good so far to use water from the hotel rooms then :)

Keep your comments coming lol

I always end up drinking from the taps! I don't really like the taste, but then again I don't really like the taste of any tap water in Britain except the highlands and Manchester! :)

My did drink from the taps when we went a few years ago and got some bug where she had sickness and bad tummy when we got home. We never knew if it was the water. But I wont since that.

We have tried always, buying and using water from taps to fill our own bottles of squash and filling from the fountain. I must admit we buy now or fill from fountain .

On our first year I used SL room tap water for kids juices and on the way home just before we got to Ashford My dd was very poorly. Very poorly ...sorry to all those around us  Trying to strip change her in the toilets and find clean clothes in our luggage, whilst all around us people were hauling luggage off ... I still wake up in a sweat some nights:rotfl:. Mind you people were very nice it was one of those "thank God thats not my kid" kinda situations. Also my younger daughter was poorly the next day

Again it was probably coincidence but after that horrendous experience didnt ever want ever to chance that again!! I kinda got it into my head that maybe the different water had upset them or I hadnt cleaned the bottles properly ,, nothing like fairy liquid to make you feel germ free:)

Are they the big bottles???

We get the 1.5-2 litre bottles. Think they're 1 euro something (definitely less than 2 euros anyway) whereas you'd probably pay that in the park itself for a small 500ml bottle.
